Adding the browser extension
Sign in, add your child's name and age group, then click "Connect browser extension." You'll get a one-time connection code.
Chrome or Edge. Takes about two minutes, and detects 20+ AI platforms automatically — no per-platform setup.
Paste the connection code into the extension popup. Lenerin only works transparently — tell your child it's installed.
Runs on Maya’s laptop — set up by a parent. Tell your child it’s installed.
The iOS app works differently — on purpose
Apple sandboxes the detailed usage data the iOS app sees — it structurally cannot leave the child’s device, not even to Lenerin’s own servers. That’s a real platform limit, not a missing feature, and it means the iPhone experience is honestly different from the browser extension.
- • Shows a detailed usage report, viewable directly on the child’s iPhone
- • Sends a threshold alert to your account (e.g. “over 1 hour today”)
- • Lets you browse Alerts, Weekly report, History, and Platforms for that child, right in the app
- • Requires the child’s device to be set up under Family Sharing with Screen Time
- • Doesn’t sync exact per-app minutes to your weekly email or web dashboard the way the browser extension does
- • Doesn’t show the detailed report remotely — you (or your child) have to open the app on their device to see it
- • Doesn’t work without Family Sharing already set up for that child’s Apple ID
